Metabolic Rate Testing

Weight Management Success with a simple measurement.

Since metabolism is an essential part of weight management, it is important to know what your Resting Metabolic Rate is so that your Weight Management Plan can be personalized to your needs. Even individuals that are similar to one another such as family members or friends participating in a weight loss program often get different results.  A previous scientific study indicated that individuals with similar physical characteristics (ie bodyweight, gender, age etc) can have large metabolic differences per day. This may explain why weight loss varies among people.

Metabolic Rate Measurement as featured on TV show The Biggest Loser is now available in our office.

Personalize Your Weight Loss Program

Metabolic rate will decrease as our body reaches a lower weight. This can be showed by measuring Resting Metabolic Rate. Hence one needs to work harder to watch what we eat and /or how many calories we burn to lose those last few pounds and inches in our weight loss journey. We can help you to see that for yourself with the numbers.

Food and Nutrition

As in his previous books, Michael Pollan argues in "Cooked" that relying on processed food disrupts our link to the natural world and weakens our interpersonal relationships. But this time he takes a more hands-on approach, doing apprenticeships with a variety of culinary masters who teach him the fine points of fermentation, the benefits of bacteria, and other secrets of honest cuisine.
