Dr Mungekar is a board certified internal medicine physician. 

She is licensed by the California Medical Board to practice as a physician and surgeon. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine from the University of California at San Diego. She also trained in Internal Medicine at the University of Illinois, Urbana.  Dr Mungekar holds a medical degree in medicine and surgery from  The Grant Medical College, Mumbai, India.

Dr Mungekar has served on the Board of Solo and Small Group Physician Foundation and is an avid advocate of maintaining quality doctor patient relationship which can sometimes be compromised in larger groups and Health Management Organizations. Dr Mungekar has been on the staff of Good Samaritan Hospital, where she served on the Medicine Executive Committee.  

From the time you check in to how your prescription medicines are communicated to the pharmacy, our office utilizes award winning patient portals and electronic medical records. While the technology can improve efficiency, we focus our energy on individual attention and improved patient access to the patients of our practice. 

Patients have expressed their esteemed opinion of  Dr. Mungekar's bedside manner, identifying her as one of America's Most Compassionate Doctors. Our practice has received Patients Choice Awards for multiple years.   Dr. Mungekar has received prestigious recognition in the "Guide to America's Top Physicians"  by Consumers' Research Council of America. Dr Mungekar has been featured in an Exhibit on Indian Physicians - as a part of "Beyond Bollywood - Contributions of Indian Americans to America".  The Exhibit was part of traveling exhibit in the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History in Washington DC.
